Local Legends Sports
What Sets Local Legends Apart From Others?
Honesty
telling players and parents what they need to hear and not necessarily what they want to hear based on years of playing and coaching experience.
Transparency
There are no secrets in our program. Our players goals are our goals and there will be no disguising how our program runs.
Flexibility
We understand that many programs today have a all in approach when it comes to their sport/activity. We want our players to play as many sports as possible, as we believe it brings value to our program and keeps the kids bodies and minds fresh.
Relationships Over Results
We want our players to be a representation of our program, now and in the future. We want to have our coaches be mentors and role models and all of our players to feel as if they are family. We want to win but ultimately the strength and success of our program will be measured long term.
Communication
We will communicate effectively with players and parents, with knowing that we both have the best interest of the player in our hearts. At times we may agree to disagree but we will never operate in a manner that does not show 100 percent caring and empathy for our players.
Meet Our Coaches
Ryan Marable
Program Director & Coach
Coach Marable is a lifelong Chesterfield County resident and has been teaching at CCPS for the last 18 years. A former college basketball player in his own right, Marable has coached or worked with over 75 college athletes throughout his years coaching different sports in the area. A former high school assistant and head coach at Benedictine College Prep, he now enjoys getting his former players and area legends involved in the program as a way for those players to pay it forward to the next generation of legends.
Britton Marable
AAU Director & Coach
Coach Marable is the head coach of our 17U AAU team. He has been with this group since their 6th grade year and has continued to develop them on and off the court.
